King Krule- The Noose of Jah City

King Krule- The Noose of Jah City by truepanther

King Krule, formerly known as Zoo Kid, shows us what all the hype is about with this teaser track for the forthcoming self titled EP released on 7th November. 'The Noose of Jah City' sees King Krule's lead singer Archy Marshall's distinctive vocals flow over a simple beat with delayed guitar gliding over the top. Anyone in Glasgow (Captain's Rest 11th November) Manchester (Trof 12th), Brighton (Prince Albert 14th) and London (Corsica Studios 15th) get down to see them.

Anyone in the market for some football boots, check out these by Pantofola d'Oro. Ever since Emidio Lazzarini contacted his local football team, Ascoli Calcio in the 1950s, and started making the boots for the players, Pantofola d'Oro has been producing some of the nicest boots around. Simple and plain, yet original, the boots have a light softness allowing easier ball control. The name itself means 'Golden Slipper', which stuck after the legendary Juventus player, John Charles said ' these aren't boots, they're slippers - golden slippers'. Other notable players to don the 'golden slippers' are Fabio Capello, Roberto Mancini, Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten and Jack Matthews. In a time when boots to often come with crazy colours, and needless gimmicks, the Pantofola d'Oro shows that often simple equals the best.

The Stone Roses Reunion

This isn't exactly new news (it has been all over the internet since it was announced this morning), but it's still worth talking about because it is so massive. I was only 6 when the Roses split up, and only got into there music some years later. I have seen Ian Brown, I have seen Mani play with Primal Scream, and thats as close as I thought I would get. Until now. Despite years when all of the members denied rigorously that this moment would ever happen (Mani once said they would 'reform when Manchester City won the European Cup'), the moment came this morning in a London hotel. People talk of money, which is probably a factor, but you do get the feeling the Roses never got to fulfil the potential they clearly had, plagued by internal fighting and conflict with their record label, which explains why there has always been such longing for a reunion. Well now it is here, and Heaton Park, Manchester on the 29th and 30th of June 2012 will be the place to be.

Modeselektor-Berlin [2011]

Listen to this after reading the post below.

Warehouse Project- Last Store Street Shows.

This year sees the final warehouse projects in the store street location, and Keep It Casual wanted to pay tribute to the amazing venue. Located under Piccadilly train station, the night offers a music experience like no other. If you haven't been, we recommend picking up tickets for the various nights left. Personal favourite lineup is the Modeselktor date on the 6th of December, which sees them lineup next to Squarepusher, Four Tet  Skream and Hudson Mohawke to name a few.
