Anyone in the market for some football boots, check out these by Pantofola d'Oro. Ever since Emidio Lazzarini contacted his local football team, Ascoli Calcio in the 1950s, and started making the boots for the players, Pantofola d'Oro has been producing some of the nicest boots around. Simple and plain, yet original, the boots have a light softness allowing easier ball control. The name itself means 'Golden Slipper', which stuck after the legendary Juventus player, John Charles said ' these aren't boots, they're slippers - golden slippers'. Other notable players to don the 'golden slippers' are Fabio Capello, Roberto Mancini, Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten and Jack Matthews. In a time when boots to often come with crazy colours, and needless gimmicks, the Pantofola d'Oro shows that often simple equals the best.
